Position Available:       Associate Producer, Willie Moore Jr. Show

Overview:

Syndicated Network targeting the African-American community is seeking a part time Associate Producer for a nationally syndicated radio show. 

Candidate will be responsible for audio on-air board operations including daily syndication closure verification from Westwood One, archiving, and phone screening & editing for the Willie Moore Jr Show.  Candidate will also provide various production assistance and perform as back up producer as needed.

Position is based in Atlanta, GA.  

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for all aspects of audio board operations for WMJS.
  • Contact Westwood One daily to verify syndication closures for WMJS.
  • Record and edit interviews for air play.
  • Answer, screen and edit live phone calls during WMJS for airplay.
  • Assist in archiving show content for network and local use.
  • Participate in on-air dialogue as requested.
  • Assist with daily show operations by delivering final show rundown and call list to the studio staff and conduct prep meetings prior to start of broadcast with studio support staff.
  • Brainstorm creative ideas with show host, staff and programming management.
  • Verify and sign studio traffic logs per REACH Media policy.
  • Participate in scheduled Operational/Programming/Interactive meetings as requested.
  • Serve as back up producer as needed during holidays.
  • Provide back-up services including board operations, phone screener and/or production responsibilities for other Reach Media syndicated programming as directed.
  • Perform various other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements:

  • Extremely organized and able to effectively prioritize tasks while being attentive to details.
  • Excellent communication & interpersonal skills to work in a diverse environment.
  • Creative problem solving to make spontaneous decisions under time constraints. 
  • High level of creativity and ability to develop show concepts.
  • Strong knowledge of current FCC rules & regulations.
  • Ability to operate Microsoft based and Apple based computers.
  • Extensive experience with the use and operation of on-air broadcasting equipment and various digital editing software including Pro-Tools and Adobe audition.
  • Flexibility to adjust work schedule as needed in order to support Reach Media syndicated show(s) demands. 

Experience/Education:

  • BA/BS college level degree preferred and/or two plus years relevant experience in broadcast radio or related field.

Compensation:     Competitive hourly rate based on qualifications/experience.

Location:         Atlanta, GA.  No relocation will be provided.

Reports To:        Manager, Network Operations
