Position Available: Board Operator/Technical Producer, Get Up! Mornings with Erica Campbell (part time)
Overview:
Syndicated Network targeting the African-American community is seeking a part time Board Operator/Technical Producer for nationally syndicated Get Up! Morning with Erica Campbell radio show.
Candidate will be responsible for technical production and operational support for nationally syndicated programming in Dallas studios.
Position is based in Dallas, TX.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Responsible for all aspects of audio board operations for syndicated morning shows as requested.
- Collaborate with talent and production staff to produce audio elements to brand daily radio show.
- Assist engineering with troubleshooting technical problems relating to show equipment.
- Prepare and maintain program commercial logs for syndicated program.
- Produce Programming packages as needed.
- Load Wide Orbit with all files needed to run shows including music, jingles, sound effects, interviews, and comedy bits.
- Import commercials to Broadcast computer at scheduled times.
- Provide creative imaging services including voice ID’s, promos, pre-recorded shows, and special production for shows.
- Produce daily show promos and send to radio station affiliates.
- Upload daily News-Talk programs for affiliates broadcasting via delayed programming.
Requirements:
- Extremely organized and able to effectively prioritize tasks while being attentive to details.
- Excellent communication & interpersonal skills to work in a diverse environment.
- Creative problem solving to make spontaneous decisions under time constraints.
- Strong technical skills including knowledge of audio editing equipment-Wide Orbit and VoxPro.
- Flexibility to adjust work schedule as needed in order to support syndicated show(s) demands.
- High level of creativity and ability to develop show concepts.
- Ability to operate Microsoft based and Apple based computers.
Experience/Education:
- BA/BS college level degree preferred and/or five plus years relevant experience in broadcasting or related field.
- Network experience preferred.
Compensation: Competitive hourly rate based on qualifications/experience.
Location: Dallas, TX. No relocation will be provided.
Reports To: Executive Producer, Get Up! Morning with Erica Campbell
