Position: Technical Producer, Dallas (part time)
Overview:
Syndicated Network targeting the African-American community is seeking a flexible part-time Technical Producer to assist with various programming & production responsibilities as well as providing back up support for board operations and phone screener as needed for Dallas syndicated programming.
Position is based in Dallas, TX.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide board op and phone screener assistance as needed for Dallas syndicated programming.
- Responsible for various tasks related to commercial production and distribution including editing & converting MP3's/MP2's, producing and editing voiced commercials, uploading audio to 3rd party satellite companies and Sharepoint and assisting Engineering in maintaining accurate commercial libraries in Wide Orbit.
- Assist with production for various weekend shows as directed.
- Additional production responsibilities as requested by management.
Requirements:
- Knowledge of Pro-Tools and other audio editing software.
- Strong creative, communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to work under pressure while meeting tight deadlines.
- Minimum two years’ experience in audio production.
- Knowledge of Wide Orbit and Audio Vault software a plus.
- Flexibility to work mornings, afternoons, nights and weekends as requested.
Experience/Education:
- College degree or high school diploma/GED with relevant experience working in radio broadcast production.
- 2 years+ prior experience working as a board operator/technical producer and in radio broadcasting.
Compensation: Competitive hourly rate based on qualifications/experience.
Schedule: Flexible schedule to cover various day parts as needed including morning, afternoon, evening, weekend & holidays up to a maximum 29 hours per week.
Location: Dallas, TX. No relocation will be provided.
Reports To: Program Director, Rickey Smiley Morning Show and Executive Producer/PD, DL Hughley Show
