Position:                     Customer Service Representative, Travel Services

Overview:

Dallas based Radio Network targeting the African-American community is seeking a full-time experienced Customer Service Representative to generate sales and provide ongoing customer service and support to passengers, VIP guests and staff employees for its events, including the Tom Joyner Fantastic Voyage.

Position is based in North Dallas.  No relocation will be provided. 

Responsibilities:

  • Identify and establish relationships with potential passengers to sell cabins on the Tom Joyner Fantastic Voyage.
  • Provide quality customer service to guests & passengers including:
    • Answering inbound calls from guests/passengers
    • Appropriately responding to customer inquiries
    • Processing registration and payments
    • Preparing and distributing correspondence to guests and passengers including travel documents & information as needed.
    • Notification and collection of delinquent payments
  • Enter customer data into various sales systems and databases.
  • Provide meaningful feedback to management regarding customers’ expectations and reviews and feedback regarding marketing and selling initiatives.
  • Provide daily account reconciliations for specific event(s).  
  • Manage NPM manifest for specific event(s) including registration forms and waivers.
  • Update and manage hotel manifests for specific event(s) for employees & guests and audit against actual hotel reservations.  Reconcile and allocate hotel invoice.
  • Reconcile non-sailing guests vs. actual guests and assist with sending out tax letters.
  • Update/create staff/temp staff profiles in Rez Magic.
  • Cross Reference the Carnival manifest against the manifest in Rez Magic.  Act as liaison for all cabin changes and corrections.
  • Assist with booking flights for Operations team.
  • Process orders as needed.
  • Register contest winners in Rez Magic.
  • Assist with distributing remaining booking numbers.
  • Allocate Axiom bill.

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of sales techniques for how to close a sale and make a collection while maintaining the relationships with a strong, loyal customer base.
  • Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills to communicate with guests, passengers, co-workers and management.
  • Ability to identify and resolve customer relation problems in a professional manner.
  • Ability to reconcile and allocate various accounts & invoices using basic accounting knowledge. 
  • Adherence to corporate policy and procedures.
  • Ability to maintain a positive working relationship with fellow employees and management.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in the performance of assigned tasks.
  • Ability to respond to a high volume of customer requests.
  • Ability to comprehend required assignments and procedures quickly.
  • Ability to process transactions with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Able to meet deadlines while working under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to perform detailed work on multiple and concurrent tasks.
  • Working knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook applications.
  • Flexibility to travel if required.
  • Must be able to maintain confidential information.

Experience/Education:

  • Minimum 2-4 years successful inside sales experience and customer service experience. 
  • Experience with basic accounting and reconciliation responsibilities.
  • Travel Services industry experience a plus. 
  • Associates degree and/or prior experience in Business, Finance/Accounting Services or Customer Relations. 

Compensation:

 Hourly based on experience and skill set plus benefits.
